Frankenstein

Director: Guillermo del Toro

Studio: Industrial Light & Magic

Role: Effects Supervisor

Frankenstein combined extensive practical filmmaking with invisible visual effects to bring Guillermo del Toro's gothic vision to life. The work spanned digital environments, creature enhancements, atmospheric effects, CG animals, and large-scale icy landscapes, with a strong emphasis on seamlessly integrating visual effects with practical sets, prosthetics, and cinematography. Particular focus was placed on supporting the emotional storytelling through subtle, photorealistic effects that enhanced the Creature's performance and the film's richly detailed world, while preserving the handcrafted aesthetic that defines Guillermo del Toro's work.
